I myself when up at Moina looked at the campground over the bridge on the Iris River to the right that looked good , have been told that there is also one to left before the bridge , but I think that the one over the bridge is quite good as long as not a lot of rain ,spose most sites are like that anyway so what does everyone think as said i prefer the one over the bridge but open to discussion cheers starry

I have not been up that way since I was a kid, so what roads and turn offs do I take, If I cant find a ride I will see if I can get the Pajero (just developed an oil leak should beable to fix this week) up there but just no clue as to where togo lol looked for iris river on google maps...wouldnt come up

the only camp ground i know of is on the right hand side just as you exit moina heading to cradle , you go down the gravel road it is good condition drive past a farm or two there is a sign on your left ( open mine shafts ) keep driving along the road and there is a bridge with camping grounds on both sides. i dont think the road goes any further unless you go on to privet property. if this is the area we are going to it is a good camp ground with existing fire pits. if not can some one please give directions of exactly where we will be set up. thanks all michael.

yep thats the one that we were at earlier last month just over the bridge to the right on the banks of the iris river , great spot cheers starry

cool thats easy for everyone to find,hope the rain stays away on friday night or might just head up saturday morning and stay one night, if i do come up friday probable wont get there till 6.30 ,7.00 and dont really want to set up the swag in the rain. soft i know,lol ;D , weather pending will see and meet you all there, good hunting michael.

if anyone wants a topo map ( in pdf format) of where campground is just send me a message on here and I can email one with the campground marked on it and the proposed track to get into the old mines at narrawa creek cheers starry
