Hi loverr, There definitely is gold to be found at Doctors rocks, get down in the crevices or dig up the gravels under the sand, even around the corner on the old coast road when the tide is out is a good spot in the small holes, take out the rocks and use a sucker of some description or as someone I know, uses a tea spoon.. perseverance... there is gold in the Calder River down ZigZag Road, Camp Creek up past the chicken farm back of Wynyard.. Cheers Coral

gday Brandon I,ll see how I go and send you a little map of doctors rocks and the right place to go as most people go to the wrong place , you have to go out from where the gate is just of the road towards Wynyard and right out at low tide and dig in the sand and under the rocks , so i,ll chase up a map for you cheers starry

hey loverr, there is plenty of gold at doctors rocks, starry has put you on the right track. i was there about 4-5.30 today and filled a bucket with classified to pan out at home. i run two test pans before i classified any material and came up with 7 flakes ,so am expecting to have a bit in the bucket. here are a few tips 1. look for rock pools close to bed rock 2. look for natural channels or ledges gold may get trapped in 3. when u pick your spot, remove the larger rocks by hand until you reach sand and shell grit. 4.dig threw the top layers of sand and shell grit until you start to see the sand go black ,dark grey is ok as well, the black sand is a good indication you will start finding gold as it has a similar weight to gold. 5. run a few test pans and see what happens, 6. check the low tide and you want to go about 1.5 hrs before this time 7. tell me how much gold you get and we will split it lol ;D good hunting michael
