G'day, I don't know if anyone can help me, I'm trying to find the location of an old tin mine. It started in about 1881 and was called the Walter Scott Tin Mine and is situated somewhere along the Dunns Creek near Ringarooma. In about 1905 it was changed to the Mount Maurice Tin Mine. I would like to pinpoint this mine as there is a very large hole (many acres), water races etc on my property. I've looked everywhere (well, not really ) for maps but haven't found any. Can anyone help?

Thanks very much for getting back to me, your blood's worth bottling! The diggings on my place are quite extensive and quite old judging by the size of trees now growing in there. We've found a few relics including a sluice (?) bucket, remnants of a timber tramway, many test holes- quite dangerous when covered over. The boss fell into one, fortunately it wasn't that deep. It sounds like you know exactly where to look for the info I'm after, I wouldn't. Thanks again.
