From the Minelab website, you can purchase Minelab detectors from Leading Edge Electronics in Burnie - 4 Alexander Street. I'm looking to get a detector (Minelab most likely) and would prefer to do so locally - but I need to be shown how to set up and use the detector properly. Anyone got any info or experience from Tas that they would care to share? Are there any retailers who know their stuff with detectors in Tas? I see some places in Vic that provide training when you buy a detector from them.

I've bought a few things from USA, cheaper, but have to use paypal & time to receive are the neg. . What I used to do is have a list of what gear I wanted, wrote it down, then go on ebay and punch in the gear your after with 50km or less from your postcode, sometimes would get a good deal as postage can be a killer.
