5 mile rise.... needs to be detected badly.
"someone with a =4x4"= could get in past lemonthyme lodge up the fire/forestry trail but unsure if it has a gate? dont think it does.. approx 6km past the lodge. or we as a club, could approach forestry, may be able to get a key to the gate up at bull creek turnoff, as an option.

wow Phil somewhere i,ve wanted to go for a long time up the five mile rise goldfield , we should see what we can organise as there were quite a few mines up there golden bar , o,rourkes hydraulic workings , and also the minnow and dasher rivers, plus north of there cooper-smiths at the confluence of the wilmot and forth rivers , production from the area 124kg gold = 278.2 lbs = about 4,500 ounces , we want some cheers starry

I had a detect on the minnow field last week, It got burned by forestry only a month ago on the east of Kenzies hill, the big pyramid shaped one on the paradise side of the Gog. so fantastic access. its where the mines where too star of the west etc, the shafts are approx 50 meters up the hill. NE side of the hill. so totally open ground. The only gold i have found in the Dasher is from the Beulah bridge and up stream of it. and fines in the minnow. All small stuff. I would like to sample the creeks they traced up to kenzies where it flatterns out in the pine forest too. My wife actually grew up on the Dasher near armistead, a story is someone found a cricket ball sized nugget washed on the road after a flood. im pretty sure i can get access to five mile. I partied at the house down their years ago, all open gravels the mines are on the foot of the hills to the N/E of the house. The family live in wilmot. The Champion family from memory. and i know their is a fire trail from lemonthyme lodge road right too it. Or Forestry access.
The richest creek is Narawa creek wither off lemonthyme road or the main road a few corners up from the shop in Moina on the left going to Cradle. micro fine gold , but as rich as the weld river for mineral diversity.
