I've been tempted to buy a yabbie pump to get the "big" yabbies stuck in the bedrock?"? Are these regarded as borderline hand tools or as mechanical devices??

Hi, I have used one of these made of pvc for quite a few years, (from USA) and have never thought of it as mechanical, no electrics, motor etc, just lots of muscle building power needed.. I tried a yabbie pump but found it unsuccesful. There needs to be a few inches at least of water over the top of crevices and you need to give the cracks a bit of a scrape with some wire etc to loosen it up and then yes, the bigger "yabbies" will be sucked up.. Cheers Coral
